I have an XPPro NTFS computer which I am trying to get familiar with before
it becomes my primary computer. At present I'm trying to do a scandisk or
chkdsk. When I attempt to do this via C: properties/tools, it informs me
it must reboot because it needs exclusive access to some Windows files.
When I restart, a "disk check" chkdsk does run. The results flash on the
screen and go away very quickly so I don't know the results of the chkdsk.
Is there a way to slow that down or otherwise read the report? Any
suggestions pertaining to scandisk/chkdsk in XPPro NTFS would be welcome.
Thank you.
