I have a Dell Dimension 8200 thats about two years old and I would like to upgrade the memory on it. It has RDRAM architecture, and the memory type is PC800. I've been looking at alot of memory on various sites and I can only find SDRAM in the amount that I want. I want to add 1GB of memory which would be 2x 512mb cards because you have to install memory in pairs. So my question is this, would 2x 512mb SDRAM work with my CPU? Also does the memory type have to be the same as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
