Hi, I have just installed a new US Robotics 56K V.90 Faxmodem and still
can't get a connection beyond 28.8. I pretty much had the same trouble with
the 33.6 Supra modem that I replaced. I've been through tech support for my
ISP with no success and I have called the telephone company in regards to
the line which they say that all phone lines are only guaranteed to 9600
baud. Unless I want ISDN that is. I'm sure that most people connecting
above 28.8 have normal phone lines, right? What else could be restricting
my connect speed? Thanks for any input.

I am running a Micron Pentium 200 MMX, 64 megs RAM, the modem is on COM2
(that shouldn't make a difference).
