Have purchased a PCI wireless card to go in a P2 400 with 256mb of ram running Windows XP SP2. The machine won't/can't/doesn't find the card as new hardware, I have tried it in all the available PCI slots. I've tested the card in my P4 2.4g where it is identified as new hardware and is able to be installed and work faultlessly, so it would appear it may not be the card. In the reverse I have installed a wired ethernet PCI card into the P2, this is instantly recognised as new hardware and installed accordingly. I have updated all the drivers I can think of to no avail, please help, I have few clues!
