Maybe... the 7200rpm drives might draw too much power or output too much 
heat for your unit, or they might not.

And according to one page, HP sold those laptops with drives as large as 
100GB in a 4800RPM, 80GB in the 5400RPM, and 60GB 7200RPM models.

Now, what you can do is take the risk, then if it doesn't work, you can 
use the HD in an external USB/firewire drive as supplemental storage. 
But odds are that you can get away with using any of the 4800/5400 RPM 
drives on the market.  The newer PMR drives from Seagate are likely to 
work well because they use fewer platters for more capacity, so their 
power requirements and heat output will be lower then the older LMR drives.

My original Tecra 9100 laptop drive was a 60GB, I replaced it with a 
100GB about a year or two ago.  And I'm about ready to upgrade to the 
160GB Seagate.  On any laptop made since ~2002, it usually is a 
no-problem upgrade.
