Hi, have you tried it in safe mode ?
If it doesn't work in safe mode I would next
suspect cable, floppy controller hardware/software.

If it works in safe mode try the MSCONFIG
at the run box to shut down your startup options
and reboot. If it works you can enable your startup options
one at a time to narrow in on the problem.
