HI,

Usually, when I have a problem installing an OS it is my experice to try
changing these items in this order, one at a time. Order of easiest to
deal with. Usually it is one of the first 2.

Memory
CPU
Main board

Thanks and have a Great Day!

=====================
I purchased and OEM operating system and I have tried to install it on
my computer that I built. I looked at the steps that was provided on
freepctech.com and the only thing that I noticed differently was that
after the files were copied, the system rebooted and started to install
the devices. The problem that I am running into is that the Hard Drive
shuts down during this installation. I have spent most of my day
racking my brain on how to figure out what is wrong, and everything that
I try doesn't work.

I have tried starting out with the bare minimum to make sure that the
components were operating correctly. I have tried changing the settings
in BIOS. I even tried reformatting the Hard Drive.

If anyone could help me that would be great.

Thanks
