I did use heatsink compound, (and a good sized fan and heatsink) the
chip seems to run quite cool anyway, after running rally 2000 for over
an hour it was only warm.

I installed powerleaps.  Do I need to have it running all the time in
the background to get the 3dnow instructions working??  Or is it a once
off thing?

Your pretty limited on any BIOS improvements for any more speed. This=
 is about all I see left to do.

    Go into BIOS and make sure video memory is set at 4Meg.

    Set your display to 24bit 800x600.

    Install DirectX 7.0a
