since you are looking for mobo that support both DDR400 and 333, I guess you
are talking about a AMD system.

if so,

don't get DDR400 RAM, since it's very rare to find a CAS2 DDR400, and
normally you can only get CAS2.5, which is slower than DDR333 at CAS2.
Plus, you have to remember the current chipset limitation - you can have
only one DDR400 RAM at any time, add a 2nd stick will drop RAM speed to 333,
and you can have only two DDR333 at any time, add 3rd stick will drop speed
to 266. so that DDR400 doesn't really seem useful in my opinion.  At least,
you can have more RAM later if you go with 333 since it does allow two
sticks of RAM.  for DDR400, you have to get rid of old RAM and get a new,
larger capacity stick if you want more RAM later.
