To connect the work station to the server you should only have to run a cable
from the server to the hub and from the hub to the work station.

The software may be installed properly, but it does not look like it is
configured properly.  The errors you are getting from the Windows 95 machine
are the errors you would get if the printer is not available.  Can you see the
print server in Windows 95?  That is the place to start.
