============================================

Recently, we have begun to see an upsurge in simplistic, one
line comments to PCBUILD and we wish to remind everyone that
such comments are inappropriate.

It is nearly impossible to provide a complete answer to any question
posed in one sentence, especially so that EVERYONE reading this
mailing list will understand fully. Besides the 1,700 subscribers and
the over 18,000 people reading PCBUILD on mirror sites, our web
site receives over 4 million visitors a year, many reading the archives.
So, please consider your posting.

If you intend to offer advice or an answer, take your time, use
complete thoughts and supply as much information as possible,
remembering that not everyone reading your post will have your
level of expertise. Simplistic, tossed out answers are usually
worthless... Oh, you might believe you have provided a complete
answer, but stop and think about the thousands of people who will
read the question and your answer. Why would you want to leave
any of them still wondering, when you could have taken but a few
moments more, supplied a complete and thorough answer and
everyone here would have benefited. One good answer is better
than dozens of one liners... always better.

The same applies to questions. I cannot tell you how many questions
we have seen of late that leave us wondering. If you want or need help
take an extra minute and supply us with details, all that you are experiencing,
the components in your computer and anything else that may be
relevant to the situation. That will help everyone to help you with
better answers.

The Moderators will begin rejecting quickie messages, these simplistic
one liners... so take the time to write enough to completely supply an
answer.

Thanks for making The NOSPIN Group so successful!!!

ps. The one liner version of this is:
"No More One Liner messages!" *grin*
