I'm taking the chance this is still a "builders" question since
it involves an install screw-up...
Thanks everyone for all the replies.
I never realized the keys were encrypted on the drive/registry
and that once you went and found them with one of these
"key reader" programs you could not "confirm" the key with
a manual registry search. That was the "problem". I had found
the proper key all along... I can confirm that by using that key
on my own computer since I have not upgraded myself yet,
(and that key is NOT activated)...

It gets worse. (This the really stupid part.) While doing my Taxes,
I somehow misplaced the MS disks/keys I had been delivering with
a new computer and now I have to replace those disk(s) with different
ones and a new install key(s).
(This is only all the parts of the Office2003Pro package.)

Is that a simple case of un-installing and re-installing the program
with a different key, or is there a program that changes keys easy?
