  The "no sognal" message is your monitor telling you it isn't 
getting anything from the video card in the PC.  Two things to 
check:

1.  Make sure that the video cable is firmly seated and, if at 
all possible, screwed down at both ends.

2.  Make sure that the video card is firmly seated in its slot.  
Historically they have often come part way out when machines are 
moved or internal updates (such as RAM installation) are done.

  The initial power-on display comes from ROM, and should 
include additional messages if a problem with installed RAM is 
found.  So bad RAM, if that's what you're worried about, should 
not cause this loss of video signal.
