Hello to everyone,
My aunt has asked me to assist her in her first PC purchase. The system I am
looking at (400 MHz Pentium II) comes with either a 40X CD rom or a 4.8X DVD
rom drive with software decoding. The price difference would be $138, but she
doesn't care about price as long as it will benefit her (and of course, bang
for her buck). She will be using primarily for recreational use and internet,
but her grandchildren will be using as well (gaming, school work, etc). My
question is whether or not DVD is actually $138 better than a 40X CD rom (at
this time) and what is decoding software? Thanks in advance for your time.
