I've had some success by just doing a web search of the part numbers, also searches on ebay. Last option is to install them in a compatible computer and check the general specs in the control panel / system screen, or go into the setup when the system starts.  SiSoft Sandra Lite and other freeware also provide more in-depth specs on the installed memory, showing specs on multi-speed ram, cas, latency, etc.
The number of contacts is different depending on the memory - PC2100/2700/3200 all have 168 contacts, for example, so you can at least narrow it down based on that.
