Thanks for your reply Dean; from what I gather, I've got a so called Dallas battery in this old computer and can't do anything with that. It looks as if I've got to get myself a new motherboard.
This computer has OS 95 on it and it had part of 98 installed on it, but it kept freezing and wouldn't restart. Tried to re-install 95 but it came up with error cmos battery low.
I was hoping to fix this for my kids, but have to resort to something else now.
Again, thanks for your help; greatly appreciated.
