I use the Enlight ATX mid tower case for my personal work station with
both fans engaged. It is as quiet a box as I have found. I know you
can disable the front fan, (you just do not plug it in), and it will be just
a bit quieter. Usually, sound can be controlled in a variety of ways. My
computer sits down under my desk, it has rubber feet on the case and
a rubber pad under it. The removal of all vibration with the rubber
mounting helps a great deal, as does setting it back under the desk...
this way the sound moves back and away from me.

Unless you are using an IBM/Cryix K6 chip or multiple high end SCSI
drives, you will probably not need the extra cooling of the front fan.
