I also vote for a slocket.
Forgive my laziness, I did not look into all the details for your particular
board.  I do want to point out, since your specs claim a 600 mhz limit, that
you appear to have a 100 mhz front side bus board.  That puts you in
position to gain the most price / performance by adding a Celeron processor.
The slocket can't do anything to help you with your 100 mhz front side bus
speed, so pick a nice celeron / slocket combo and you will be happiest.

Another thing to consider,  if your board was built for the cpu with the
older 512 KB L2 cache running at 1/2 speed, rather than the newer P-III that
had 256 KB L1 cache running at full clock speed, you will be better off
getting a slocket and using the newer generation cpu even if you don't bump
the cpu mhz appreciably above the old 600 limit.

Even if you find the slot one you want, it will be very expensive. You
could probably find it on EBAY, but I suggest you buy a Slotket. This is a
slot one card that allows you to use an inexpensive PPGA/FC-PGA 370
processor in your Slot 1 motherboard.

You install the CPU on the slotket and then plug it into your slot one
board. A slotket costs anywhere from 9 to 50 dollars. The cheapest ones are
just a pass through, and rely on your motherboard to supply the correct
voltage, form = Coppermine etc, and FSB. But with the right motherboard
that is all you need. I am using a generic 9 dollar slotket on my ABIT BE6
rev 2 with a Celeron 1.1 Ghz. It has been working fine.
