Virus Scan Program Problem
I have an HP Pavilion zd7000 laptop with an x86 Family 15 Model 22 Intel 3
gh processor. It has an NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 5700 video.
I ran the avast, online Symantec, and online Kaspersky virus scans. In each
case, when it came to or near the end, the PC turned itself off and
re-booted.
An error report went to Microsoft and the response came back: Error caused
by video driver. Lower hardware acceleration, update video driver.
STOP 0x00000 EA Thread_STUCK-IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078).
I lowered the hardware acceleration but am reluctant to alter the video
driver since it has been working fine for 2 years I have run many Avast
virus scans.
What can I do?
