If you've got access to a docking station on these laptops, I'd install
the 2 gig drive in there (some docking stations have laptop HD
connections, like IBM) and xcopy from the 1 gig to the 2 gig.  Did the
same thing about a month back and it worked like a charm.  Just a
suggestion...
