Just a thought. Windows 98 may have a compatibility problem with the SATA
controller since SATA is much more recent than 98.

Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction...I am using a

instaling ok, when windows locks up at 61%. I am using a Maxtor SATA drive,
not sure if I am having a hardware problem or a software problem. I am
