Thanks Russ,

The info you sent on my MB is very helpfull. I went to Crucial but found the only way I could search MB's was by Mfg and then model number. My model was not on the list. How were you able to enter the MB model number?

If I put ECC RAM in a non-ECC MB will it work but just not have the error checking feature, or will it not work at all? $43 for 1GB of RAM is more that I want to pay, considering 2 GB (2x1GB) ECC RAM is available on-line used for a little less than that price, including shipping. Seems the non-ECC RAM is harder to get used right now. If you like, see my postings on "Precsott" core CPU's. I am building 2 older computers from parts pulled from computers left at the transfer station. If I can't find what I need there I look for used on-line.

Thanks,

Tom
