I have had this problem for about a year running Windows 95. It used to be
worse, but the video card was replaced by the local shop where I bought it.
I was getting long vertical streaks on my desktop, plus a pair of black
vertical, one-inch long lines near the center of the screen. These went
away. Now I just get streaks and smudges in windows.
