Hi, I can think of quite a few possible causes, but the most obvious that
comes to mind is a driver problem.
Have you updated all the drivers for your system? (start/control
panel/system/hardware/device manager)
Have you downloaded all the windows updates?

this may not be your problem at all, but this is as good a place as any to
start.
