Pete

I am sure you have checked hardware Device Manager to insure the video card
has the proper drivers and no conflicts. Also that your monitor refresh rate
is within its limits.

It has been a while since I was in school where I did the calculations for
knowing the required memory but you could be a little short on system and video
ram. Why not add another 256 MB ram chip and increase the shared memory in
your BIOS from 16 MB to 32 MB.

If that does not work then I would get in touch with your systems video
card's site looking for known conflicts between your DVD player hardware; your
software should be fine. There are usually firmware updates if your player has
had issues. If you could provide the mfg. name, model numbers of your
motherboard, video card and DVD player I would be happy to help more.

Regards,
Mike Scott
