Thanks for the input but I have already changed the PS. An MSI tech suggested I swap the PWR and reset switch leads to test the switches. Computer then powered up with the reset sw and reset with the PWR sw. Interesting idea though. MB works great if left on for 1/2 hour and then restarted. Will not post when cold. 

After 3 MB and 2 PS I exchanged for Gigabyte MB
