You may be having a virus infection, hard disk failure or some software
clash. Try booting up Windows XP in safe mode and see whether Windows XP
can be started. If it can disable all the programs at the startup list and
try booting up in normal mode. To check your harddisk, you may need to use
the harddisk manufacturer's diagnostic software to check your harddisk.
