Here in Cuba Fujitsu IDE HDD were very good up to 6.4 GB. Starting in 10,
20, 30 and 40 GB were the worst we had ever seen when it comes to failures.
Not for nothing Fujitsu went out of business in the IDE 3,5" HDD.
I am talkink about more than 6000 hdd failing out of 10000.( not detection,
system hangings, data losts, etc.)
Unless you want those Fujitsu 20 GB HDD to show the students what a HDD
failure is, dont use them. You wont regret it and save money and time.
Roberto
