Hello! Just to add my two cents: From all the discussions I have witnessed
over the past too-many years, there is no "correct" answer to whether a
computer/monitor should be left on during times of no use. So my take on the
subject revolves around electricity consumption. Even in the most hibernated
(is that a word?) state, the system is still consuming electricity that it
doesn't need to. And even if we don't yet want to admit it, we (especially
in the US) are wasting resources when we don't have to. However electricity
is produced in your country, it still costs and still consumes resources. So
why keep it on?
