What I do, is go to an electronics store, such as radio shack and purchase
an adapter that allows you to plug 2 items into the speaker (out) this will
allow for your speakers, and a set of headphones. Juyst make sure you get
the connector for Stereo, and not Mono...

Good Luck, steve wolfe

Subject: [PCBUILD] Using both speaker and headset?

> I have a Soundblaster sound card with 3 female jack connectors that are
colored green, red and black. My computer speaker is connected to the green
jack. I want to add a headset so that I can use dialpad, one of those free
PC to phone programs. The headset has red and black male plugs, which I
plugged into the red and black colored holes in the SB sound card. When I
converse on dialpad, the sound comes through the computer speaker rather
than the headset causing a lot of feedback. How do I get the headset
speaker to work (the mic works fine)? Do I need to unplug the computer
speaker? Is there some type of toggle switch so that I can switch easily
between using the computer speaker and the headset. Thanks. Ryo
