I have recently installed a Promise Ultra100 controller card onto my Abit BX6-2.0 Mobo.

I have 2 drives, a WD 13.2GB Expert (Device D0) ATA/66 and a Quantum 10.2GB EX Fireball (Device D2) ATA/33.

The problem is that when Windows98SE boots there is a delay of around 5-10secs with no hard drive access during the boot sequence.

This also happens when selecting the menu item 'Practice Session' in Unreal Tournament. (There is a 10 second delay before the hard drives are accessed and the practise session window is displayed.)

Is this an interrupt problem or something else?

The Mobo now has a CD-RW as primary master and a CD-ROM as secondary master.

Any Ideas?
