What makes you say this? I run Office 97 on a Pentium 133 at work and
don't have speed problems. I run it on a Pentium 200MMX at home and feel
that it works just as well on both machines. The latest word from
Microsoft on the speed of Office 2000 is that if you like the way Office 97
runs on your machine, you will have no problem with Office 2000. It may be
marketing-speak, but an office suite has never been software that requires
a lot of horsepower.
