After  posting a message about getting the two drives working together,
Iwas reading in the usenet about ibm drives and came accross the program
EZ-Max from the Maxtor web site.  I downloaded the file and ran it and it
performed miricales.  Its not a disk overlay program like Disk Manager and
once you set up your drives, you can delete the file completley.  It worked
super good for me and if you are having problems setting up an additional
drive ( and then swapping for which you want to be master/slave) you might
want to look into this program.  Its free from maxtor and I bet it will work
on any two drives.
