Suddenly, I'm having trouble selecting fields to copy, with my mouse.  Sometimes, it will not hold the selection at all, or it will drop the first part of what I'm trying to select for copying.  It's one of the most frustrating things I've come across and I've never seen this happen before.  In most ways I'm a novice at computers, even though I've been operating them for almost 20 years, but I've never seen this before.  Does it sound like a bad mouse, or should I be looking for a program problem?  (I doubt it's a virus, as I have good protection, and nothing else seems to be wrong.  I have Windows 98SE.)
