Abstract (provisional):
Nutritional supplements containing carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and
minerals have been widely used in the sporting scene corresponding to an
elevation of recommended daily allowance. In addition, several natural
factors have also been found to show physiological effects, and some of
them are considered to be useful for ergogenic aid or for prevention of
injuries. These foods should be used with backing by clear scientific
evidence and with an understanding of physiological changes by exercise.
This article describes functional foods that have been reported to be
effective for athlete or health promotion up to date with physiological
changes occurred by exercise.

[ The complete article is available as a provisional PDF. The fully
formatted PDF and HTML versions are in production. ]
