People can gain with hyperthyroid problems also.  Believe me I know.  I
am hyperthyroid from graves disease and i have gained 60+ pounds from
being hyper.  Why??  Being hyper  does increase all activity in the
body.......... including appetite.  I eat and 30 minutes later i am
starving again.  not just hungry,  but starving!!!!
