When I started, I boxed everything up.  Opened stuff in one box,
unopened stuff in another.  Some unopened food went to the food bank.  I
gave the opened food items and some of the unopened ones to friends of
mine that don't have a lot of extra $$ but do have families to feed.
They were most appreciative, and I knew I was helping someone who could
really use it.  Since I was clearing out the pantry for a diet, they
didn't think of it as charity, but rather just not wasting food.   Lisa
