<< and 36 million should be taking cholesterol-lowering drugs, compared with
13 million who are prescribed the drugs >>

*The Fungus Link* by Doug A. Kaufman, the connection between fungi and
their mycotoxins is discussed, and referenced. The connection was found by
Professor A. V. Costantini, M.D., retured head of the World Health
Organization Colloborating Center for Mycotoxins in foods. This guy spent
18 years digging up every article he could find on fungi, mycotoxins, and
theri relation to Coronary Artery Disease. .."Constanti's research (1994)
[explains] how fungal toxins in the blood stream caused elevated
cholesterol: cholesterol binds fungal toxins, rendering them less harmful.
Rid your self of the fungus and your body doesn't need the excess
cholesterol."

Kaufman has some fascinating case histories of people who adopted the
anti-fungal dietary protocol with either pharmaceutical or natural
antifungal remedies and the initial phase diet listed in his book, and
within two weeks had absolutely phenomenal changes in cholesterol,
triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol. There are foods that a person might be
eating, even one who follows a paleo diet, which could be feeding
fungus/yeasts in the body. If you have taken antibiotics often or regularly
in your life, used the birth control pill (gals only! :-), NSAIDS, or
certain other prescription meds, and/or eaten foods or consumed beverages
commonly contaminated with fungus or high in sugars, and have one or more of
certain set of symptoms, or unresolved health issues, it is likely that you
might have a fungus problem. Correcting this could correct a lot of other
problems.

Happy reading,
Rachel
