I haven't experience this.  The only change I've encountered is pain free
periods - a dramatic change from pre-paleo.  I've looked through several
books to find an answer for you and could come up with only one possible
source:  Menopausal Years, The Wise Woman Way by Susun S. Weed.  Her last
name is quite appropriate...   :)

Anyway, here is some of her advice, in my words:

o  Keep records.  Chart your spotting (day, amount, etc.)

o  Raspberry leaf tea, a cup or more a day, tonifies and nourishes the
ovaries as well as the uterus.  I (Kath) use it ea. month and know that many
dog breeders use it for their bitches to ensure as painfree a whelp as
possible.

o  Animal fats in the diet are converted by the body into estrogens.  Animal
fats may also contain supplemental hormones fed to the animals and passed
along to you, further confusing your body.  Nice thought...but may apply
here.

o  Acupuncture is very effective in regulating erratic menses.

o  Cinnamon bark invigorates the blood, helps regulate the menstrual cycle
and checks flooding.  Chew a stick.

o  Essential fatty acids can be used to sedate heavy flow.

o  Ensure you get enough (but not too much) zinc, copper and iodine.

o  Avoid large doses of aspirin and Vit. C.
