This is an example how difficult is is even for our best efforts
to communicate about the real world using speech.
I wanted to say about the energy consume of the brain, that it must be
estimates how much energy comes from glucose (carbs counted and
gluconeogenesis estimated from its byproducts) and how much from ketones.

As you don't know how much ketones are used by the brain and how much
from muscles. Lyle seems to be a friend of ketosis and so his estimates
go to only 40g carbs of 150g normal energy, which is some 73%
instead of Dr.Walsh's 40 to 60 %.
As I've seen, the 500kcal (150 g carb or 25 watts) are for the
*resting* brain. Something speaks for a bigger energy and therefore
carb requirement of the brain, when active.
This would mean for s.o. in ketosis , that relative bigger amounts of
proteins were needed for gluconeogenesis.

I won't test on ketosis, as i don't know zero carb plant protein sources-
and fear the byproducts of much gluconeogenesis
(a little schwer brain fog may be tolerable for a few initial days).

However, the begin of the talk was to find some eating concepts
which help to experience insulin-free times for the purpose
of Sears' eicosanoid paradigm.

I thought ketosis was one of the best ways to minimize insulin peaks.
You list shows us, that (thanks god) you do have insulin episodes
nevertheless, but probably short.

As lunch i always have a big salad, with (olive) oil. This may also produce
a minimal insulin peak. If i miss the oil (if the casino has unacceptable
oil) I'm easily feeling tired after some hours.

Then flax seed or sunflower seed or almonds or dates come in.

"brain fog", dizzyness and lightheadedness were new words for me in english,
good phrases for experiences, i knew only the (german) headache word for.
