Dori, I have previously tried to swallow Udo's oil by itself and in a
smoothie and I just could not do it.  This morning I took the plunge and
sipped some coconut oil.  While the oily texture still made me a little
uncomfortable, it tasted like coconut (if you like that sort of thing), and
so all was well.

There is an alternative.  If you can't stand sipping it, rub it into your
skin and let it be absorbed.  You might like the result.
