Really, it’s a moderate protein, low carb (zero), moderate to low fat diet. Yes, you read that right: moderate to low fat. No, I’m not afraid of fat! But, yes, my body has plenty of fat and therefore I don’t need to consume any for energy. (Supplementing fish oil occasionally when I’m not eating grass fed beef and lamb or wild fish). I’m using a scale, but I’m also using skin fold calipers.

I am 5’8” and weighed 132 when I graduated from college in 1989. I weighed 168.4 when I started this diet. I am 50 years old and do high intensity weight training twice a week.

Translated: I’ve lost 20 pounds of fat and water so far. My weight is now 163.4 and my waist has dropped from 33.5 to 31. I am feeling great and actually it seems I’m about, oh 12-15 years younger. Of course that’s a subjective thing.
