I was getting dry lips from drinking water from a glass or cup, but now
that I suck from a water bottle or straw, no more dry lips. If you think
about it, what we usually do is: drink water from a glass, then lick our
lips. Just like our kids when they were little were getting dry lips
from licking their lips. It's probably your saliva, not the water.
