Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor - my advice is as a layman.

Lois,

Firstly, speak to your physician.  Secondly, any diet should support and
not override medical necessities.  If you require more salt for a medical
condition - then use it!  Those of us who are not hypoadrenal are generally
better off without much salt.  Personally I envy your deficiency.  I am a
"saltaholic" but have two parents with ridiculous blood pressure, hence, I
normally do not indulge my cravings.
