Another thought on this: try diatomaceous earth

Avoid the swimming pool variety (it's the wrong grind/size), get the garden
variety, or, better, from a healthfood store so it doesn't have pyrethrins in
it

DE is known for it's internal parasite killing properties when used in animals

A local man who uses it (on and in animals, and sprayed on surfaces, and he
takes it himself and despite his age he looks terrific) --he has plenty of
wild
and wonderful stories about it "worming" animals like pigs, horses and cows
 So
it should work on a cat, too
