I enjoyed watching the Dawn of Man series on TLC, although I thought some
of the video was kinda silly and would have preferred to hear the
scientists talk.

The most interesting part to me was Sunday night when they were talking
about how the dietary switch to meat (beginning with bone marrow) is what
allowed our ancestors' brains to grow larger so that they would eventually
evolve into humans. The point made by the anthropologist was that if they
continued to eat a vegetarian diet they would need more guts, and more gut
development meant less brain development.

Anyway, I feel a heck of a lot smarter now while I eat my meat.
:-)
