Todd,
I agree that the desire for food goes away.  That's why the aborigines can
get away on 1200 a day.
What carbs and what type of fats are you using and is the meat you're eating
grass fed animals?  Too, what is your carb level to stay just above ketosis
or are you monitoring ketones?
I find it exceedingly difficult to keep fats that low and feel well.  Darn
near impossible.  Oliva

I have been experimenting with a similar sort of diet, and I do
find it very satiating.  It takes a while to digest that much
protein, and while that is happening, the desire for food goes
away.  It certainly has worked to get weight loss going again.
