Has anyone here had success

i am but i spend a lot of physical energy to gather harvest hunt or recycle
foods.I do it because the quality of foods i want is just not available in
stores .
i can be fed to close to free and very well ,by feeling an ecological niche
that other peoples neglect to see.
It require skills and a long term practice .
for ex i can get as many as i want to deal with close to pure grass fed
lambs's heads ,pancreas , abdominal fats , thymus , stomachs, lower legs
bones for free. a lot of organs at a very cheap prices liver , heart,
kidneys at a small local butcher .from him i can get aslo all the scraps
produced during the cutting of the carcasses .
just that could make a very complete diet .
to that i gather as much fruits and berries i can put my energy to , wilds
plants greens are also plenty ,some gardening complete. i fish shrimps
,clams and oysters , crabs and am learning to be patient enough to fish .
On top of that i harvest road kils animals ( deer mostly )
i do also exchange of work if i see somebody producing something i would
like to eat .
The ecosystem where i live is a priviledged one but i will say most of the
peoples here don't see it.
i am sure that to some extent where you are there is many possibilitees just
question of looking for it . and when you get hungry you find the
motivation .If you live in a city it might be even easier considering the
amount of foods transiting and the amount of wastes.( what avout fishes
stores who throw away out of dates packages ?, no so fashionable fruits and
vegetables wasted by supermarkets ).
also i do lot of trading( kind of costly because of shipping costs ) of very
high quality foods with other raw foods or paleo peoples who are willing to
step out of the consumer role and work at producing small scale ( only
possible guarantee of real quality ).
here i produce a very tasty salmon jerky that i exchange for wild moose or
beaver from quebec or dried tropical fruits from the carribean or wild figs
from iran , macadamias from hawai etc...
I am trying to invite more peoples to get involve in that type of informal
network that by pass for good the food industry/
the consequence is , that peoples involved are getting concerned about the
quality of their environment and don't wait for governmental agencies to act
in that direction . ( a non profit association is working very efficiently
at saving the wild salmons of Bc especially in front of the threat of
expansion of the farm salmon industry that is supported by unaware ,or "i
don't care " customers .
As a pregnant woman you are facing the deshumanisation of our modern
societies and you might need to find support in the process.

also cheap foods is a misnomer , it is in fact very costly in the long run
.I am witnessing now somebody who have been fed cheap vegetarian foods for
years who are now taking very expensive supplements, seeing doctors etc...
to catch up with the nutitional deficiencies that manifested in mental
disorders ( paranoia, schizonephrenia , depression etc...). not a good
plan especially when pregnant

hope you can feel encouraged , start small but in the direction of less
dependances but greater interdependances
