Some bone tests on prehistoric human bones suggest just that. The
carbon ratios are identical to those of wolves or lions, indicating a
diet of almost entirely meat.

Different primate  species vary widely in their diet, from insect
eaters, to fruit, to leaf eaters. Humans are the only living primate to
eat much meat.
