Why don't you look up the experiences of the many individuals who have never
believed in medical intervention because of religious beliefs?  While I was
growing up, being vaccinated heavily for polio etc. I had a Girl Scout Leader
who was Christian Scientist and her children were never vaccinated.  There
was a lot of neighborhood gossip about that family (don't use their pool,
keep your kids away, etc.) but I'm sure they grew up healthy, as have
probably millions of others.  I don't have direct references but I'm sure
plenty of studies are out there if you look for them.
